Carl Jung clipping
I found a newspaper clipping in a 2nd hand book i bought
The book “Man and his symbols” printed in 1964 Stamped Bokelmann in Somerset west Cape Town who i guess was the book shop who sold it ? has a neat yellow Kaapstad stamp ?
The newspaper clipping was written on page 12 of “Die Burger” 19th September 2007
Cas van Rensburgh wrote the article with a pic attached from “Jung in Africa” Peter Baynes, Ruth Bailley and CG Jung appear in the photo.
Jung met an Afrikaner on Station Sigistifour (end of a train line Nairobi to Uganda.
"Station Sigistifour" (or "Sixty-four") is a location mentioned in the autobiographical writings of psychiatrist Carl Jung, specifically in Memories, Dreams, Reflections.
The Boer asked Jung if it was his first visit to Africa, after which he replied to Jung “you know sir, this land in not mans but Gods, so if anything happens just sit down and don’t worry”
Barbara Hannah later wrote in her biography that this piece of advice that the Boer gave Jung had a deep impression on him, Jung often in his life provided his patients with this advise.

The Boers were advising Jung from way back when ;)
Writing will stay alive alive if only in snips and clipping so keep writing.
Never forget that no matter what arises, sit and think about it, all things pass one way or another. Do what you can the best you can and eventually you to will pass in good standing.
